What Causes Prolonged Nose Bleed And Apin In The Temple?
I recently had my left nostril pierced a few days ago and twice today I have had two very long nose bleeds (one lasting 25 minutes and another 50 minutes) it is not my piercing that is bleeding but rather the septum wall. There is also a pressure in my left temple and left sinus (just behind the cheek and making its way behind my eyes) it is all rather uncomfortable and rather inconvenient .
HI. Nose piercing was co-incidental. You are bleeding from the Little's area of the septum. I am more worried about history of pressure in your left temple, sinus and behind eyes and so a vascular anomaly has to be ruled out. I would recommend you to go for MRI Angio-graphy of the neck, brain and face to see that there is presence or absence of an arterial anomaly. If not present, this is just a routine cause and can be well treated with proper , well lubricated anterior nasal pack done by an ENT Surgeon Himself. Keep the pack for three days and you will be fine. IF required the area can be cauterised. Also watch for Hypertension , as it is one of the reasons of epistaxis.
