What Causes Prolonged Pain In Mid Back Radiating To Front Side?

I have had pain in my mid back flank pain reaching around the front since more than 5 weeks. I have had an upper abdominal ultrasound, a renal ct scan, blood test, cystoscopy all normal. The pain is more uncomfortable than painful. It feels as if someone pushing into my side. It s most uncomfortable with movement and fine when I am in bed. It s driving me insane.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms can be related to a pulled muscle. This diagnosis is based on the fact that you had excluded other issues through examinations. I suggest using Baclofen three times a day. I also suggest using magnesium supplements for muscle relaxation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
