What Causes Prolonged Periods And Spotting For A 40-year-old Female?

I m 40yrs old woman. Since last few months After almost 13-15 I started to have spotting and then prolonged periods for about 10- 13days.please suggest me some medicine. Two months back,doctor gave me registrone one bd for 25 days but it gets missed in between.

Hello,

I think you should get further evaluated doing an ultrasound and a colposcopy to check for possible pathologies which may be causing the spotting. If the examinations come out to be OK then the problem may be related to hormone imbalance. In this way, you can take Regestrone for 25 days and stop it.
