What Causes Prolonged Periods Postpartum?

Hi I am 7 weeks post partum. I had a csection and tubal litigation done. I keep bleeding off and on still. It ll stop for a day or two or even a week and then start up again. Now the blood has changed to an orangish pink . Is this normal and when can I expect this to end? I ve had 3 kids and this is the first time this has happened.
