Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 48 yrs old and for the first time, I am spotting instead of having my usual period. I started before my period was due and am still spotting - its been 2 weeks. I know I could be perimenopausal however this weekend I experienced prolonged lightheadedness with occasional pronounced dizziness. Could they be related?
The spotting together with feeling light-headed and dizzy may be related to the peri-menopause. Pregnancy may happen even in peri-menopause so you should be protected.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
