What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding After A Miscarriage?

Hi I had a miscarriage before two months ago but i am still bleeding, my doctor prescribed primolut N to regularize my period. however, she said i have a good chance to get pregnant this month! i read about this medicine online and also the leaflet, it says I shouldn t take it if I am planning to get pregnant. Iam confused i dont know if i should take it or stop it? thanks for your help

Thanks for the query. Iunderstand your concern.
Having prolonged bleeding after miscarraige seems to be due to hormonal imbalancefollowing miscarraige.
You have been given Primolut N to regularise your period by managing hormonal imbalance.
Your information about avoiding Primolute while one is expecting pregnancy is true.(as it can cause fetal animolies if consumed during pregnancy).
But while you are taking Primilute N regularly for a full month... ovulation is not possible.. as Primolut N also has contraceptive property.
But after the course (of usually 3 months ) is complete &Primolut N pills are withdrawn... normal menstrual cycle resumes&rebound ovulation occurs .. so pregnancy is possible.
I feel this is what your doctor is planning for.So contunue the pill as per your doctor's advise. Please don't worry.. pregnancy w
