Hello dear
Understand your concern.
Petogen shot contain semisynthetic derivative of
progesterone. It has anovulatory action.
Following are the contraindication for use:
patients with undiagnosed vaginal bleeding,
possible pregnancy, a past ectopic pregnancy,
history during pregnancy of pruritis,
hormone-dependent neoplasms,
history of thrombo-embolic disorders.
Following are the common side effects:
headaches, nervousness, depression and other mental changes,
abdominal discomfort/swelling,
gastrointestinal disturbances, limb pain
nausea, vomiting, changes in or loss of libido,
dizziness, faint feeling,
vaginal discharge, vaginal cyst,
lactation, cessation of lactation, dysmenorrhoea,
breakthrough bleeding.
So I think hormonal imbalance due to shot can cause bleeding and underlying pathology in uterus like
endometriosis, fibroid, cancer may be the reasons.
I think you should consult the doctor and do the following tests:
Hormonal profile: E2, Progestreone, FSH, LH, Prolactin, HCG, Thyroid hormone profile.
USG abdomen
Endometrium biopsy
Ovarian follicle study
Hope this may help you.
Bets regards
