What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding While On Nexplanon?

In the past I caught an Std the std was Chlamydia. I got it cured and from there on out I stopped having unprotected sex. About a year later i got engaged and i stopped having protected sex. I m on the birth control called Nexplanon and i bleed EVERYDAY. Me and my boyfriend have unprotected sex all the time while i m on my period. Can you get HIV from this? Or are we fine?

Hi

The risk of HIV transmission is always present when you are engaged in unprotected intercourse. However, if you both have only single partners and have no HIV infection, then the risk is 0%. You and your partner can get tested for HIV if you are too stressed about this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
