What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding With Heavy Clots?
I ve been bleeding for 3 going on 4 months ... I haven t had a regular menstral period for soo long ... I used to have a regular period lasting for 5-7 days . I took biopsy that came out normal, I did an ultrasound that came out perfect... What is it that is causing me to bleed for a long period of time? Most times there are heavy blood clots In the toilet .

Hi,
Increased bleeding is called menorrhagia. The causes of excessive bleeding are many. I.e, fibroid, increased endometrial proliferation or hyperplasia, endonetrial cancer, cervical cancer.
If no cause is found out, it's called dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
What i suggest is, get one pap smear to rule out cervical cancer.
If that turns out to be normal too, will have to start you on hormonal therapy.
