Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that the white tendon that you are seeing protruding in the area between the gumline and the
upper lip in the centre is not an abnormal structure but a fold of mucosa known as labial
frenulum and is a normal anatomical structure..
It is appearing white and inflamed it means that it is either due to
injury with the denture plate that you wear that might not be relieved properly in the area of the frenulum leading to hitting of the denture plate with the frenulum leading to recurring inflammation..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and also investigation of your denture will be done..
In case if the area on the denture which lies over the frenulum is not given a proper valley or the "V" shaped cut, then it will be relieved properly so that it does not hit the frenulum and cause inflammation..
As if nw if there is pain over it you can apply numbing gel containing Lignocaine..
You can also do cool water rinses for relief..
Take a
soft diet and avoid very hot and spicy foods..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
