What Causes Protruding Vein And Bleeding In Ankle?
I noticed a vein on my ankle was protruding, felt like it was hard. The following morning after my shower it open up with a small hole but bleed really bad. I had to put pressure on the area for a while to get the bleedng to stop. Want causes a vein to do that?

You seems to suffer from -Varicose Vein with Bursting and Bleeding from ankler perforator vein-
Cause of the bleeding from ankle Vein-
This bleeding is from increased vein blood pressure, regurging from incompetent leg veins/ or DVT(Deep Vein Thrombosis) which developed lately- in your chronic Varicose Veins.
Would suggest to Consult Vascular/Varicose Vein Surgeon-who would investigate properly with USG scan and Duplex Image DOppler study, followed by Foam Coil sclerotherapy with EVLT(Endo-Venous-Laser TReatment)to seal regurgitant venous flow from the incompentent Varicose VEin Valves in your legs.
Hope this would help you to plan further care of this complex illness of yours.
