What Causes Pubic Hair Loss Along With Itching?

Hi I have been having gradual pubic hair loss over 15-20 years now the area is almost completely bald. The hair loss was followed by itching. Even now bald area itches. I have been to many doctors before it got to this stage but none could tell me what the problem is. The skin looks healthy and there is no rash or dryness. Please help. I am now 54 years old

Hi, this can be related to multiple reasons most common is aging, but other treatable reasons can be due to hormonal problems related to the thyroid or adrenal glands, unlikely though it can be related to autoimmune reaction resulting in alopecia. Please refer to your dermatologist for proper history and medical examination.
