What Causes Puffiness And Bluish Discoloration Underneath The Eye?
For two weeks now both of my eyes underneath are really puffy and have turned a reddish blue color. They are now starting to peel. I thought it might be allergies, but I went to the doctor on Monday and got a steroid shot, but it didn t help.I have never had this problem before and I am getting scared because it won t go away. I try to put lotion on it, but that just makes it burn. Any ideas?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have puffiness and bluish discoloration underneath the eye . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like eye allergies , conjunctivitis , styes , chalazion or injuries. I would suggest you to wash your eyes with cold water several times a day , put corticosteroid eye drops in your eyes and take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl twice a day . If condition doesn't get better then consult ophthalmologist for proper diagnosis and treatment . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with anti inflammatory and antibiotics . Put methyl cellulose eye drops in eye to prevent dryness .
