What Causes Puffy And Swollen Eyelid?

Hi, my 17 year old daughter woke up with her right eyelid puffy and swollen. She does not have allergies. She wears contacts but they are daily ones and removes them at night. What could have caused this and what can she do? Thank you. Lillian YYYY@YYYY

it can be related to contact lens use or local problem in eye lid like calazion sty or hordiolum. needs to be checked by ophthalmologist. treatment can be recomanded after proper diagnosis. encase of contact lens it is mainly due to dry eye which leads to corneal erosion . in that case have to discontinue contact lens for some time and apply artificial tear drop like refresh eye tear drop.
