What Causes Pulling Sensation In Legs, Hip And Back?

I was suffering with pain in my leg and hip tummy and Back ,feeling like a pulling feeling and it continued down to my feet - I have a varacous vein and it was really bulging and hurting it felt like pressure was gonna pop my vein - I could hardly walk or move my toes etc, I went really hot and then my legs started to burn, I was taken to my local hospital and they was not as helpful as I hoped - my doctors have called me this evening to say my blood test needs to be monitored and my platelets count is low, I ve also got a triangle like rash on my wrist which has been worrying me for abit ? Could all this be connected, I ve never feel well at all some days.

Hi,

You have a condition called as varicose veins which needs to be operated upon. There are newer modalities of treatment these days called as sclerotherapy which is injection of a medicine into the vein. In case you have low platelet count then the treatment of varicose vein is not advisable and you will be required to manage with stockings meant for varicose veins which compresses the vein and are available in surgical stores.

Also, you need to get an ultrasound of abdomen done to rule out presence of any growth inside the abdomen which can cause compression of bigger veins leading to varicose veins. The low platelet levels an cause rash over skin however if the rash is only present in wrist you need to rule out allergic reaction or contact dermatitis due to watch. the low levels of platelets need to be investigated and it is recommended that you visit a physician to get more tests to find out the cause of low platelet count. These three conditions don't appear to be connected from the information provided by you.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
