What Causes Pulsating Feeling On Top Of Forehead?

I have this pulsating feeling on the top of my forehead from time to time. It seems to occur whenever I m doing something that would make my heart rate go up. It doesn t always do that when I m doing physical activities. It has been going on for a couple of months now.

Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Your symptoms may be related to a sinus infection or just anxiety.

An intracranial vessel malformation could also mimic a similar clinical scenario.

I recommend consulting with your GP for a careful physical examination and performing a routine blood test (for anemia or inflammation) and a sinus x ray.

A brain MRI+MRA may be needed if suspicions are raised during the above tests.

Hope to have been helpful!

Best wishes,
Dr.Aida
