What Causes Pulsating Sensation At Bottom Of Sternum?

this is about my son...he is of good physical condition, slim build and age 33. He has an occasional "beating" or "pulsating" at the bottom of his sternum. Its like the beating of one's heart. Can this be a possible abdominal aortic aneurysm? I've had one child succumb to a congenital heart disease so I am always very concerned when this sort of thing develops.

hello there, its always better to get it examined , as there is a history of congenital heart disease. a simple clinical examination will suffice. though X-ray or 2D echo might be needed. regards Dr Suyash
