What Causes Pulsating Sensation By The Shoulder Blade?

My upper left back near my underarm and by my shoulder blade started pulsing about 5 days ago. I could feel slight back pain before I got my period but that was just my back in general. It was also in my left arm but that went away for the most part and it was more sore than painful. I am 18. I am on my period and the symptoms I experienced last week, pre-menstrual, were some I never got before, as a note. My neck and spine are also somewhat sore, and I feel it even more when I move around.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Most likely related to acute muscle or ligament spasm with secondary systemic manifestations. Guidelines for better recovery
- postural adaptations to avoid excess strenuous work
- local application of analgesic gel or spray
- tablets as ibuprofen which will work as anti inflammatory and analgesic as well
- maintain hydration with more liquids

Do report about the progress after 24 hours or can consult early as per the need.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Thank you.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
