What Causes Pulsating Sensation In Genital Area?

I have what feels like a vibration or pulsating in my genital area. It doesn t hurt, but it is annoying. I have had this for two days and can t figure out what is going on. It is not a sexual thing because I have not had intercourse. I m sorry if this sounds like a prank question, but it s true. It feels like a nerve that won t shut down.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Such pulsation can be sign of some inflammation inside (with pain, vaginal discharge). Other possibility is lumbosacral spondylitis causing pinching of the nerve supplying genitals or urinary bladder. You may have back ache or tingling numbness in lower extremity, urinary or bowel problems. Please consult a gynecologist / orthopedic surgeon for getting exact diagnosis followed by specific management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
