What Causes Pulsating Sensations In Knee?

Hello, For the past two days or so I ve been experiencing a pulsing feeling in my knee towards the inside of my legs, although there is no pain, and it does not match the pulse of my heartbeat. You can see it pulsing even when you have a blanket over the leg. Is this something I should be concerned about or in need of immediate treatment or any treatment in general?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Pulsating sensation in knee can be related to various possible issues such as:
- Aneurysm development
- Varicose vein prominence
- Others

Though there is not an emergency, a consultation with your primary care is mandatory for evaluation of the root cause and manage accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
