Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I occasionally get a strong pulse under my rib cage. I am 46 years old and have been diagnosed with PVCs and PACs. I underwent a stress test with a cardiologist three years ago and have had a several EKGs and one echo a while back. I noticed it shows up when I drink a glass of wine. Recently I had a chest X-ray due to a lack of air, but it was due to allergies. I also exercise regularly with cardio and weight training and weigh about 150 and am 5 8 . Should I be worried about an aneurism?
Alcohol can provocate PACs and PVCs. It seems you feel every other extrasystoly. I would advise you try to avoid alcohol. Usually small amount of PVCs and PADs don't need treatment and benign in young age. But if it disturbs you much you can discuss the possibility of treatment with your doctor. And I don't thing there is a reason to concern about aneurysm, you have had examinations and there was no aneurysm.
Wishing you good health
