What Causes Pulsations In Arm Followed By Bruising In Finger?
hi i had a weird sensation in my arm last night, it was like something was moving down the inside of my arm, then my vein in my finger started pulsating and bulging, and now my finger is very bruised, this is the second time this has happened, my finger dosent hurt but feels very weird??
This can be due to thrombophlebitis, which is a superficial infection of the vein. The other cause can be due to Hypothenar hammer syndrome (HHS) is caused by repetitive use of the hand as a hammer so that there is thrombosis of the superficial palmar arch of the ulnar artery. There is trauma over the hook of hamate, where the superficial branch of the palmar artery lies. This leads to vascular insufficiency of the ulnar side of the hand. Other causes can be due to blood clots in the arm. The best way to diagnose this is an ultrasound, which is a quick and non-invasive test.
