Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Purple Bruises On Legs And Fatigue While On Neurontin And Estradiol Patch?
I take 200-400 mg of ibuprofen once a day before bed. Even before I started this regimen I would get black/purple bruises all over my legs and hips. Also, my legs get very fatigued. In the past few months the bruising has increased, and I now have the bruising on my arms. I look like a spotted dalmation. Also, they are painful to even the slightest of touches. I also currently take Neurontin and an estradiol patch. Because I had the bruising before I started the ibuprofen, I wasn t sure if that could even be the problem, or if their could be another explanation....?
As per my clinical experience, the bruises on legs and fatigue suggest possible side effect of ibuprofen tablet most likely. Kindly withheld further doses of ibuprofen tablet and observe the findings for next 48 hours before consulting during follow up.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
