What Causes Purple Colored Patch On Foot?

What could be causing a dark purple ink like patch on bottom of my husband foot? If u rub it off for like 5 min after day it comes back. He s in hospital now. Comes back without walking on it and keeps bare. He has been in anaphylactic shock 3 times this week. No one making connection to his foot. We found out in between shocks he has developed shellfish allergy

A dark coloured patch on the sole of the foot that has developed recently may be due to bleeding into the tissues of the foot or a tumour.

I would advise you to show it to a dermatologist (skin specialist) so that you can be told exactly what is going on. Sometimes, although rarely, the doctor may need to take some tissue and send it to the lab just to be sure.
