What Causes Purple Discoloration In The Wound On Foot?

i cut my foot open to the bone on a broken beer bottle about 3 weeks ago. i didnt go to the hospital but i had all the necessary supplies to take care of it myself. it is healing fine its just turnin a purplish color around the edges of the cut. theres no green and ive been keeping it really clean. is that a bad sign?
