What Causes Purple Eyelids And Sore Eyes?

my boss has this eyelid that is red and purple at times and his eye becomes sore. it looks swollen as well. this has been going on for a year now and sometimes it becomes sore more then once a week. it is on the inside of his left eye from his nose side. the eye itself is also sore but not red

red purple and swollen eye lid for one year. what about itching and discharge. it is not mentioned. it is not clear whether it is bilateral or with one eye only. for left eye you have said sore but not red. soit looks like bacterial infection, but no discharge. fit into allergic but no itching. for left eye it can be pterigium for allergy have to take levocetrizine tablet5mg daily and cromal eye drop 3times daily. see the progress for ten days. for left eye it can be pterigium.it is to be confirmed after examination by eye doctor
