What Causes Pus And Blood Filled Bumps Around The Vaginal Opening?

Hi, I have some small bumps where my thigh meets my vulva, near the opening of the vagina. There two on the left side and then one the right side. They don t hurt, but when I squeeze them some hard substance comes out, and a small amount of puss and blood. It fills like there is still some stuff in the bumps, but I can t get it out. I have no idea what they can be.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Bumps around vagina could be due to your hair removal technique to infectious conditions like sebaceous cyst, Bartholin's cyst, genital herpes or warts. I advise you to:
- A course of Antibiotics (tab. Amoxiclav 625mg twice daily) if needed
- Use body wash like benzoyl peroxide 5% prior to your  hair removal techniques
- Daily Sitz bath
- Avoid using tampons as it may worsen your symptoms
- Wear cotton inner wear
- Maintain good hygiene

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
