What Causes Pus Discharge After Detachment Of Toe Nail?

I trapped my toenail 4 days ago under a door causing the nail to lift off the nail bed to about half way up the nail. It is not painful to touch now but i keep getting clear/yellowish liquid seeping from under and it mow has a foul smell coming from under th nail is this normal?

Hello. Though, serous or clear discharge maybe seen in a normal healing process it is always odourless, never smells bad. Presence of a foul smell generally indicates infection. I suggest you see your doctor, get the remaining part of the toenail removed and apply regular dressing till the nail bed heals entirely and a healthy new nail grows. If the infection is allowed to persist, it may grow to include more parts of the nail bed and foot and may give rise to fever, chills and more discomfort. Hope this helps.
