What Causes Pus Filled Bumps At The Site Of Piercings?

Hi my name is nikki. I ve had both tragus piercings at the same time. I both had bumps filled with pus and blood but one is all healed up and the other one is still the same. I was wondering it is a keloid or an infection and i should contact my physician. Please help. Thanks

Hi.
As per your case history you are having bacterial infection at the site of ear piercing.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
