What Causes Pus Filled Open Hole Post Treatment Of Sebaceous Cyst?

I have had a sebaceous cyst recently treated with antibiotics and as I neared the end it seems as if it was getting better. Now that the meds are done it s still an open wound. Inflammation has gone away but it turned into a crater like open hole on back of my shoulder. My husband said it looks like there may be pus in it which means it s still infected?? I have an appt with a derm next week but I m not sure I need to wait that long? Should I go to an Urgent Care facility and be seen right away. Truthfully it looks like some flesh eTing bacteria butn hoping it s not that bad and it s just in my head.

As per my clinical experience, the pus filled open hole indicates cyst wall with its contents infected inside. He will definitely require surgery of excision under local anesthesia for curing the sebaceous cyst with an expert consultant surgeon. Now, its your choice to visit an ER or wait till planned appointment.
