What Causes Pus Filled White Headed Pimples On The Face?

Hello! I am keep geting red bumps filled with pus and mixed with whiteheads on a bottom part of my cheek. When I extract it and put on steroid cream it heals but comes back ina week on exactly the same spot. Dermatologist gave me prednisone and it cleared it but as soon as I stoped taking it it came right back. please advise. Thank you!!! Vicky.

As per your complain pus filled pimples over the face along with White heads seems to be due to causes like Clogged pores of sebaceous glands and bacterial infection leading to formation of pustular acne..
I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in planning the treatment..
The dermatologist can advise you to wash your face with Salicylic acid and glycolic acid containing facewash..
Apply a combination of gels containing Benzoyl Peroxide and Clindamycin..
Apply Retinoids like Adapelene gel at night..
Exfoliate your skin twice a week with a gentle scrub..
Drink plenty of water and take multivitamins..
Avoid oily food and excess sun exposure..
Keep your face dirt free..
