What Causes Pus Like Discharge After Having BCG Vaccination?

Hello, My baby was born on 27 Feb, 2015. She has had her first BCG vaccine some 2 months back. Now the injection site has started swelling and some pus-like discharge is oozing out though its not causing her any harm or pain. Is it normal to develop such condition and if it s normal, how long will it take to heal? Do i need to take any precaution to deal with it?

Hi,
This is common with BCG vaccination.
This is due to local reaction caused by our immune system against vaccination.
This problem will remain for 2-3 months and then healed by a little scar.
Do not do any thing on the site.
