Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Radiating Pain From Left Hip Outwards?
Burning, extremely pain in my back left hip (below the waist) that spreads outwards. Can barely walk, cannot climb stairs, can t sit, and extremely painful to lie down. Once I do lie down, pain subsides but any movement triggers extreme shooting pains.
It seems like sciatica pain. However, it requires further investigations including back X-ray, abdominal ultrasound, kidney function test and other biochemistry testing. You need to follow up with neurologist. Meanwhile, take pain killers and magnesium supplement to ease the pain. Physiotherapy can help.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
