What Causes Radiating Pain From Shoulder To Lower Part Of The Body?

i had been having a pain in my lower right side which would come and go i took some pain relivers and it would stop and go. but it stopped completly for a couple of days and then it continued now the pain goes up to my right shoulder and down to my right side. this has been going on for three weeks iv'e been to the hospital had a cat scan and other test ran but nothing was wrong they told me to just go home and take motrin or any pain reliever and it should stop but it hasnt.
