Hello,

I can understand your concern. It seems that you are suffering from a severe throat infection and due to involvement of the lymph node in the area, you are feeling referred pain in ear and jaw.

You should do an antibiotic course to relieve the throat pain. Azithromycin 500 mg (Azee 500) once a day for three days can relieve you of throat infection. You can take Acetaminophen 500 mg or Ibuprofen 400 mg to have relief in pain while antibiotics work. Do warm salt water gargles. Drink lots of fluids and have rest. Stay away from cold food and drinks.

If you do not find relief in three days, I would advise you to visit an ENT surgeon for physical examination and further investigations. You might need blood tests and throat culture.

I hope this information helps you. Thanks for using HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon!

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
