What Causes Radiating Pain In Head After Injury?

Dear DR I am writing this for my brother in law. In 2014 February he had an car accident in which he hit left side of head and had no injury. But later on pain developed from head to back of neck and ears & giddiness.Consulted doctors ,done CT,MRI scans and found nerve compression. Done Ayurveda treatment last September, felt better for two months, but as the climate changes here pain increases. Now we want to consult and treat during July, kindly advise Rajeev 0000

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If MRI CT etc are all normal, an EEG may be sought for after a neurologist review and if normal, otolaryngologist review for any signs of nystagmus or benign positional vertigo should be ruled out. Also metabolic abnormalities should be ruled out. Scar epilepsy etc should also be looked for. Treatment will depend on the cause.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
