Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 19 year old male in otherwise good health, but with slightly raised systolic blood pressure; my BMI is 28.7.
I was keen to monitor my blood pressure for peace of mind, and so purchased a home blood pressure monitor; this also has the capacity to detect irregular heartbeat.
Around half of all of the times I have measured my BP, the irregular heartbeat symbol has come up on my monitor.
Should I be concerned?
I play squash 4 times a week, and so exercise regularly, and have what I would call a 'mixed' diet.
