What Causes Random Bleeding, Cramps, Hot, Dizzy When On Loestrin Fe?
I am currently taking a birth control called loestrin 24 fe. I've been on it for 4 months and the past few days I've had random bleeding, and cramps. I took 2 pregnancy tests and both were negative. I've also been feeling a little "hot" and I got dizzy yesterday. what is going on? please help.

While using oral combined contraceptive pills like Loestrin 24 fe, few side effects can be seen like intermenstrual spotting, abdominal cramps, bloating sensation of abdomen, dizziness, changes in temperature, etc. Sometimes missing the pill or altering the time of intake of the pill can also lead to inter-menstrual spotting.
If you have taken the pills as per the schedule without missing the pill and without altering the time of intake, you can expect around 99% protection, according to the manufacturers. And also as your urine pregnancy test kits gave negative results, the possibility of pregnancy is less.
If the symptoms persist, you can consult your gynecologist once and take symptomatic treatment with anti-fibrinolytic drugs and analgesics. If the symptoms recur in the next cycles also you may need to shift to any other contraceptive method with your doctor's advice.
