What Causes Random Swellings In The Biceps, Feet And Hands?

I have a swollen, itchy area inside my right bicep. It is red and very warm to the touch. It started yesterday as a mild itch and progressed today. It is now about 5 inches across. Recently (over the last two months)I have experienced ramdom swellings in my feet, hands mouth/lips. These episodes rarely last more than two days and then I return to normal. I can't figure out what triggers it. My Dr. has me keeping a diary because he's stumped too.
