Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

I understand your concern and would explain that this isolated clinical symptomatology could be related to a bout sinus tachycardia in the settings of increased physical of psychological stress as well as a bout of a transient cardiac arrhythmia (supraventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, etc.)

Coming to this point, especially if this episode repeats again, I recommend performing a medical checkup including a careful physical exam and the following tests:

- complete blood count,
- fasting blood glucose level,
- thyroid hormones level,
- liver and renal function tests,
- blood electrolytes level,
- resting ECG,
- ambulatory ECG monitoring (Holter),
- cardiac ultrasound,
- PCR & ESR,
- blood lipid profile

You should discuss with your doctor on the above mentioned issues.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
