Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I've been having problems with my heart beating extremely fast, sometimes when I get up and try to calm it by walking around (when i'm sitting) I'll get dizzy and fall to the ground, it continues to beat fast so I have to lay there and curl up into a ball and close my eyes until it ends. I don't know if it's serious or not, but I hate when it happens. It also gets hard for me to breathe, when my parents try talking to me I can't answer because I feel like something's blocking me from answering. After it ends I feel completely normal. I'm 14 years old. Is it normal?
I've carefully gone through your query and understand your concern about your health and would like to tell you that increasing heart beat in emotional or stressful situations is generally not because of your heart, it is because of your anxiety disorder for which you need to tell your parents and see a Psychologist.
To exclude any underlying heart disorder kindly get an ECG and Echocardiography done.
Hopefully this information will answer your query.
Kind Regards Dr. Bhanu Partap
