My 14 year old son has been having a rapid heart beat off and on
For the last couple days--he often gets dizzy when standing
up..he seems concerned and I can only go by what he says and
He knows his body..should I be concerned and take him to the hospital?

Hi,

Sometimes there are blood pressure fluctuations in his age. They can cause dizziness while standing. They are not dangerous and usually disappear with age.
But if he has palpitations, I would advise you to check his pulse, if it is over 100 bpm, or not regular, I would advise you to see your doctor and have an ECG performed.

Wishing a good health to your son
