What Causes Rapid Heart Rate After Taking Toprol XL?

For the first time after taking Toprol XL for 10 years I forgot my dose for the whole day. My heart was beating very hard in my chest and the rate went over 100. I have Afib but was in rhythm, but the fast beat scared me. I took my missed dose and tried to go to sleep. I have been normal today.

you are having tachycardia and medicine is metoppronal a beta blocker. it is to treat hyper tension and angina. may be it is due to drug. consult cardiologist for advise toxicity can cause polym orphic tachecardia
