What Causes Rapid Heart Rate And Weakness After Taking 'niquil'?
I have been coughing alot, headache, sore throat etc. all that is gone except the coughing which won't ket me sleep. I am on i mg of xanax, is it safe to take niquil? I took it at 1:00 this morining and feel horrible, weak, rapid heart rate, hust zined out. Any explanatons for this would be greatly apptrciated.
Regarding your concern, i would like t oexplain you that there exist some interaction between Xanax and components of Nyquil as follow:
(1) Xanax and Doxylamine (a Nyquil's component) have a potential for interaction and should be closely monitored. When used concomitantly they may increase even more sedation.
(2) Xanax and Pseudoephedrine (a Nyquiil's cmponent) have a potential for interaction; Xanax increases and Pseudoephedrine decreases sedation. A close monitoring and a cautious use should be considered.
My opinion is to stop Xanax temporarily, when taking Nyquil (if it is necessary to use), to avoid probable interactions and side effects.
Hope to have bee nhelpful to you! Greetings! Dr. Iliri
