General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Thank you for you question.

From what you have described , you seem to have experienced palpitations.
It could be significant because you mentioned that it started spontaneously without any heavy exertion.

I would advise you to visit a physician for a cardiovascular checkup as well as an ECG.
If the ECG is normal, you may require Holter Monitoring for 24-48 hours which will detect any abnormalities in your heartbeat.

Other details that would be useful for your diagnosis are -
- Your Age
- How many times has this happened before?
- Do you have any comorbidities like Hypertension or Ischemic heart disease?

Hope you find this information useful.
Thanks
Dr. Alex
