What Causes Rapid Heart Rate While On Temazepam?
Hi, I have spinal injuries at three different levels. I have been taking Temazepam for at least 20 yrs.
I take 6 X 30mg and 6 x15 mg . My biggest issue is my HR which goes over 200 bpm and BP which goes down as low as 40 bottom number.
If I lay straight and don't move it gets much better. However, as soon as I move, sir, walk it jumps straight up to 200 bpm
Can you think of a different med than remazepan that will help lower my HR but not my BP?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have rapid heart rate while on Temazepam. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like heart disease , anemia , stress , high blood pressure or caffeinated beverages , but in your case the symptoms are probably due to temazepam as its side effects as it is known to cause faster heart beat as its side effect . I would suggest you to consult doctor who prescribed this drug . Doctor may alter the dose or may prescribe substitute . Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist for other heart related conditions , who may prescribe sedatives , betablockers along with vagal maneuvers.
