What Causes Rapid Heart Rate While Sleeping And Ankle Swelling?

This has happened several times in the past year. I am asleep and wake up because my heart is beating fast. I don t have high blood pressure. Don t take any medication.I do have swelling in my ankles and I am over weight by about 45 pounds. In 2009 I had a heart cath done but no blockages. My right foot and lower leg gets cold often.

Such symptoms ate pretty common in female patient, this could be nonspecific one and may be due to some functional condition, some time may be due to menopause, and this is nothing to worry, everything would be fine soon, hope this information helps, take care.
