What Causes Rapid Heart Rate With Dizzy Spells?

Hi I was driving today on freeway and pulled over because i smelled as bad fire or burning, and got so dizzy that I felt I was going to pass out... General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello thank you for writing us here.
The most possible reason could be anxiety.
It may occur all of the sudden or sometimes it may take days to take place.
Strong tea/ coffee could cause anxiety as well. I would suggest you not to take tea/coffee in excess and try meditating. You'll feel better I'm sure. But if it occurs again you can take clonazepam 0.25 mg chewable tablet at that time and propranolol 40 mg twice a day. You'll need to take these medicines for 7 days. But first you should try removing excess amounts of caffeine from your diet and you'll fee better.
God bless you. There's nothing to worry about.

Best regards,
Dr Gunjan
