What Causes Rapid Heartbeat With Headache, Numbness With Frequent Urination?
My mother is 52 yrs old.She has been taking medicine for her high blood pressure and heart problem for more than 4 yrs.She suffers from rapid heartbeat with headache, numbness, cold heart and frequent urination at same time all of sudden. It happens at any time and goes at any time.Till now doctors are unable to detect the cause of rapid heartbeat. Her CT scan, blood test are all normal.I'm really worried about her.Could you please help.
HI welcome to HCM. The above list of symptoms you mentioned can be due to the side effects of few antihypertensive drugs like central sympatholytics like clonidine or methyl dopa.A base line ecg and a 24hr Holter EKG can help to determine the exact nature of heart rhythm abnormalities.Drugs like Beta blockers and Ace inhibitors can be relatively safer alternatives.Monitor the blood pressure on a regular note.A 2 dimensional ECHO of heart can provide added information on cardiac output.Consult your cardiologist for further queries. THANK YOU
