What Causes Rapid Weight Gain With Tightness In The Chest And Joints Pain?

Been diagnosed with anxiety, panic disorder and depression after never being ill or having time off work in 20+ years now... Woke up one evninvast year gasping for air. I had all the symptoms and signs of panic attacks without a trigger I was aware of. I ve done courses, 3 types of meds. Had an array of investigations... (Due to hemotopyis too) which were bronchoscopy, CT scan, bloods, nasal camera and subsequent courderized twice, possible health anxiety. None of the meds improved me greatly. Now I m in between meds. I have fluoxotine ready but my Dr wants me to try not to take any. Have used citalopram, escitalopram and Sertraline previously. I ve put on 5 stone in weight. I now struggle with physical symptoms a lot. No panic attacks. I have tight chest. Heavy legs from time to time. Aches in most joints. Slight dizziness. I m worried I may have COPD or form of, despite clear x rays a few months ago. I STILL have bright amounts of blood in my phlegm from time to time and I mean weekly. I am struggling. I m after another opinion of an expert who doesn t so easily judge my mental illness. I m willing to accept I may have had traits of panic and anxiety. But the physical symptoms are what is hurting me most and always has done. However unlike most mental health sufferers. I cannot point to anything that makes me nervous, upset or fearful causing a panic attack. Help!?

Hi,

No need to worry for COPD, you are not having it. In my opinion, you should definitely consult a psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions.

Try to identify the stressor in your life and start working on its solution. You will mostly improve with anxiolytic and antidepressant drugs. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.

Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
